The College of Arts and Sciences recently concluded its three-day community outreach program, ๐๐๐ฆ: ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ, from ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ฏ-๐ฑ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ at ๐ฆ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฐ, ๐๐ฟ๐ด๐. ๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฝ, ๐๐๐ผ๐ด๐ผ๐ป, ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ด๐๐ฒ๐.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ฏ included final preparations and travel time from the University of the Cordilleras main campus to Sitio Bantic, departing at 1:00 PM and arriving by 5:00 PM.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ฐ saw the faculty and student representatives from the UC-CAS departments and personnel from the UC Guidance Office offer a series of lectures, seminars, and activities lined-up for the students of Bantic National High School, as an extension of the College’s three core principles: Competence, Academic Excellence, and Service. The delegates brought a plethora of knowledge to spread positive influence to a remote local community. Afterward, the team shared a community dance with the students of BNHS as a symbol of harmony and unity.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฏ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ฑ consisted of a short turnover and awarding ceremony in the presence of the BNHS faculty, staff, students, and our project partners, marking the end of the community extension program. The team officially departed from BNHS by 1:00 PM.
With the program’s success, we express our utmost gratitude to our hosts, ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น (๐๐ก๐๐ฆ), headed by their principal, ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐บ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ผ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฎ๐. Their hospitality, quick response, and warmth helped foster a conducive environment for activities. We also extend our appreciation to the educators and non-teaching personnel of BNHS who were instrumental in the accomplishment of the project.
We want to acknowledge our partners, the ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ – ๐๐๐ผ๐ด๐ผ๐ป, through ๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฐ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐น๐ฒ๐๐. ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ถ๐ for their invaluable support to ensure the safety of the UC-CAS team. Their presence alone assured the security of the endeavor, starting from Sitio Tabu and continuing until we reached Sitio Bantic.
Recognition must also be paid to the Local Government Unit of Itogon for their reception of our community extension program, especially for providing transportation to Sitio Cashet. We want to express our utmost thanks to the ๐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐๐ผ๐ด๐ผ๐ป, through the Municipal Mayor, ๐๐ผ๐ป. ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฆ. ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฐ๐น๐ถ๐ป. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Ma’am Jemima Waclin for her unwavering dedication and heartfelt communication throughout our collaboration for transportation.
