In the face of climate change, education and collaboration play a pivotal role in empowering individuals and communities to take action. The UC Biology Society proudly partnered with the Forestry Stewardship and Extension Club (FSEC) for an enlightening seminar on ๐๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ง ๐๐ญ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฌ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ last November 20 at room S232 of the Science Building of the University of the Cordilleras.
This lecture, marking Phase 1 of our Adopt a Forest Project, provided invaluable insights into carbon stocksโcritical tools for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions and fostering environmental sustainability. By understanding how forests act as natural carbon sinks, we can better appreciate their role in combating global warming while taking active steps toward preserving and restoring these vital ecosystems.
The seminar was not just an educational experience but also an inspiring first step in our collective journey toward a greener, more sustainable future. The collaboration between UC BioSoc and FSEC highlights the importance of united efforts in addressing environmental challenges.
