Gian Sakti Conejar, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science student from the College of Arts and Sciences, was recognized as the Outstanding Delegate at the International Model United Nations (IMUN) 2024, held in Jakarta, Indonesia in July 9 to 11, 2024.

IMUN is renowned globally for its comprehensive 3-day event featuring formal debates, discussions, and resolution-making. Gian’s exemplary participation in the UN Women council focused on ensuring gender equality and combating domestic violence.

Gian led the committee in drafting the working paper, spearheaded Bloc 2 for the draft resolution, and was the main author of Draft Resolution 2.0. His leadership skills, dedication to addressing women’s exploitation, and enthusiastic participation were highly commended by the chairpersons, leading to this prestigious recognition.
